Gutters and Leaders

Gutters and downspouts don’t get a lot of attention until they stop working. When they do, the consequences show up fast — water overflowing against the foundation, saturating the soil around the house, pooling at doorways, or working its way into the basement. Good gutter systems quietly do their job for years; failed ones cause damage quietly for just as long.

Rivera Roofing Specialists installs and repairs gutters and leaders as part of a complete approach to protecting your home from water damage. A proper roofing system isn’t complete without gutters that direct water where it’s supposed to go.

We install 5” gutters with 2×3 leaders and 6” gutters with 3×4 leaders.

Installation

We install seamless aluminum gutters, which are fabricated on-site to the exact dimensions of your roofline. Seamless gutters have fewer joints than sectional systems, which means fewer points of potential failure and longer service life. We size the gutters and downspouts to handle the water volume from your specific roof area and ensure the pitch is set correctly for drainage rather than standing water.

Downspout placement matters as much as the gutter installation itself. We position leaders to discharge water well away from the foundation and direct flow toward areas where it won’t cause erosion or drainage issues.

Repairs

Gutter problems range from minor to significant. Sagging sections, separated joints, pulled-away fascia hangers, and clogged or damaged downspouts are all fixable without a full replacement in most cases. We assess what you have and give you a straight answer about what it will take to get the system working properly again.

What We Recommend

Gutters in New Jersey take a beating from ice, wind, debris, and the sheer weight of water and leaves. If your system is showing widespread rust, heavy sagging, or has pulled away from the fascia in multiple locations, replacement is often more cost-effective than ongoing repairs. If the issues are isolated, repair is usually the smarter move. We’ll give you an honest recommendation either way.

Gutter Guards

For homeowners who deal with frequent clogging from tree debris, we can discuss gutter guard options that reduce maintenance while keeping the system flowing properly.
